Last night I got to talk to the Young Women in my ward about my mission to Italy. It was so much fun and it was amazing how many memories came flooding back... from crazy French men and stalkers, to miraculous tumor shrinking blessings. My life would not be the same without my mission. I had this on my mind today and I realized that I have also been blessed in not so obvious ways from my mission.
Example: Jay has been a little attention hungry lately. He will not let me put him down! Not only does this make it impossible to accomplish anything during the day but my arms are killing me! Well for my birthday Joey got me a carrier for Jay but he doesn't always like it. "Necessity is the mother of invention"-- right? I pulled out my missionary backpack, put it on backwards and in Jay went! I have never seen a more content baby! (Realize that these pictures were a little hard to take by myself!) I'm glad that my children are already benefiting from my missionary service.

Hi. I'm glad your mission is benefiting Jay so well! ;-) I was cleansing (not the right word, but it works) my email inbox last night and re-read many of the emails you sent me when I first got home from my mission. I just don't have the heart to delete them yet, if ever... I don't know how I could've gotten through that time without you... Thank Heaven you served a mission too. Otherwise I'd be Stacy-less in my life. Sad.
ReplyDeleteLove you!
So, I just figured this whole comments section out the other day... A whole aspect to blogging I was clueless to. What a cool funtion. I went through and read all your comments on my blog. What fun!! Pretty crazy that one so computer illiterate could be related to you, huh? I won't tell if you won't!
ReplyDeleteStacy! I am so glad I found your blog. Your little one is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHey! I found you off Livi's blog! Congratulations on your little boy, cute stuff! Glad to see you have a blog so we can keep in touch better. :)
ReplyDeleteI love looking at your blog. It is so cute. Your son is adorable and so are you.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a great person and I wanted you to know that the summer we became friends was the most fun I had in High School. You were some one that I looked up to during that time and I am glad I was able to get to know you.
I really don't have tons of homemaking skills but I am eager to keep learning. I am not a good cook and there is a lot of things I need to work on. I think as long as you keep trying new things, your ability to be the person you want to be grows and grows. I hope to be a good example for my family and I want to learn what I can now so that I give my family every opportunity to learn and be good people too. You can do that, and from what I see you are already a great mother and homemaker.
That is avery creative idea! I loved hearing about your mission when we had that activity in the branch! And the food you brought! I dont remember what it was called but I will never forget how wonderful it smelled!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! He's so cute! i LOVE his lips:)
